SunLync API
The user must have the SunLync API installed and the endpoint accessible from outside their local network. A static local and external IP or dynamic DNS is required. CustomerLync API licensing is required.
Corporate Utility

Security Templates
Enable ‘Online Appointments’ permission in the ‘Utilities’ category. This permission allows access to the AppointmentLync Management Portal where the user can change the look and feel of their AppointmentLync page and some variables regarding how appointments are recorded.
Store Parameters
Demographics
Demographics - Store demographic information is displayed in AppointmentLync and used to get map data from the Google Maps API. The user should review this information for accuracy.
Store Hours – These values determine what appointment times will be available in AppointmentLync and are displayed in the store information area of AppointmentLync.
Appointments
In order to be available for use in AppointmentLync, ‘Use Appointments’ and ‘Make Available in AppointmentLync’ must be true and ‘Multiple Bookings Per Time Slot’ must be selected. The user should also review ‘Appointment Start’ and ‘Appointment End’ times to ensure that they do not conflict with the values used in ‘Store Hours’.
Email Settings
Online Appointments
**You will most likely need to run update parmfile set enableonlineemailmngmnt = 1**
Password Reset Request– This email type is mandatory for proper functionality. This template is used when sending users password recovery emails.
Appointment Confirmation – Sent when a user makes an appointment in AppointmentLync. Optional.
Appointment Cancellation – Sent when a user cancels and appointment in AppointmentLync. Optional
Email Appointments
Appointment Reminder – Sent 24 hours before scheduled appointment. Optional.
Equipment
Standard appointment configuration applies.
Custom Services
Services must have an employee affiliated with them in order to be used in AppointmentLync. Otherwise, standard appointment configuration applies.
AppointmentLync Admin Portal (Internal)
The admin portal is used to create and control access to AppointmentLync. The portal can be accessed as https://sunlync.net/admin_portal
Account Creation
After logging in, select ‘Customer Accounts’, then ‘Add New Account’
Enter the JK Customer ID and the Salon Name in the spaces provided and click ‘Save’
After saving the new record, the new salon should appear in the Customer Account Management list.
Select the ‘gear’ icon and enter the client’s API endpoint information.
Click ‘Test’ to verify a connection to the API, then click ‘Save’
Store Availability
Select the ‘list’ icon on the Account Management screen.
Select any stores that the client is licensed to use with AppointmentLync and click ‘save’.
AppointmentLync Management Portal
The Management Portal is used by customers to configure the look and feel of AppointmentLync and control some behavior of the appointment booking process. The portal can be accessed by visiting http://sunlync.net/mngmnt
Instruct the user to visit the Management Portal and log in using their JK Customer ID, SunLync user name and SunLync password.
Page Information
The user’s CustomerID and unique AppointmentLync URL are displayed here. This URL is what the client should use to direct their customers to AppointmentLync.
API Information
This will be prefilled with the information entered in the Admin Portal, but can be changed at any time by the client should the need arise.
Page Setup
Theme
The user may select from a list of css themes for their client-facing AppointmentLync page.
Logo
The user may upload their logo to be displayed on their client-facing AppointmentLync page. Supported formats are: jpg, png, and gif, though a png file with a transparent background is recommended. Maximum file size is 250kb.
Jumbotron Header
The user may configure the text to appear as the header or ‘title’ in the top third of their client facing AppointmentLync page.
Jumbotron Text
The user may configure the main text of the jumbotron in the top third of their client-facing AppointmentLync page.
Company Display Name
Not currently used, but should be populated with an acceptable client-facing name to avoid issues when new functionality is built around this field.
Appointment Options
Sort Equipment
This controls the order in which equipment types appear on the list when scheduling an appointment.
Number of hours before the first available appointment
Controls the minimum amount of time before an appointment that the appointment must be booked. (e.g. if the option is set to 2 hours and it is currently 12:00, the first available appointment will be 2:00).
Max number of days ahead an appointment can be booked
Controls the latest possible appointment that can be booked. (e.g., if the option is set to 30 days, and it is currently January 1, the last available appointment to be booked will be January 30).
Log Appointments as
Users may select which employee is recorded in the appointment book when scheduling an appointment.
Log registrations at store
Users may select which store new client registrations are affiliated with.
Available Appointment Types
Select the appointment types available to be scheduled (equipment and custom service).
Default Appointment Type
Select the appointment types that should be shown to a user first.
EFT Ledger Options
AppointmentLync will detect the gateway processor set for the Corporate location, and adjust the options displayed accordingly.
Show EFT Ledger Balance
If true, the client's EFT Ledger Balance will be visible on their profile screen.
Allow EFT Ledger Payments
If true, the 'Pay Balance' button will appear on client's profiles when they have a positive EFT Ledger balance.
EFT Ledger Caption
The title of the window that contains the user's EFT balance.
Log Transactions As
The employee who is recorded as having made the sale for the payment.
