Understanding How to Change Your Lamps

Every tanning salon needs to change the lamps within their beds. The best way to track lamp hours is through the Lamp Change Utility window, which allows users to view hours and reset them to zero.

This window is only accessible from the back-office section of SunLync. A valid username and password are required to log in. 

The Basics – What Each Section Does

1. Lamp Summary
Displays a summary of lamp information for the bed selected in section #5, including the bed, room, and lamp details. Before changing lamps, confirm that the correct bed is selected. This is also where the process of changing lamps is initiated.

2. Lamp Change Setup
Used to select which lamps will be changed. Before making selections, click Select Room # for Lamp Change at the bottom of the window.
If a bulb has already been used, enter the existing hours in the Starting Usage field.
Expected Life reflects the estimated number of hours before the bulbs need to be replaced.

3. Lamp Selection Options
Indicates which lamps need to be changed. After selecting the appropriate lamps, the corresponding checkboxes in section #2 can be selected.

4. Lamp Change Cost
Displays the total cost paid for the bulbs. This information is also recorded under:
Equipment Maintenance > Store Equipment > Repairs/Maintenance

5. Bed List
Shows the beds available for lamp changes at the selected location.
